Development
The goal of this project was to create a knowledge-sharing platform that showcases the work, research, and outcomes of the IN↳WECITY network. The website was designed for researchers, universities, and other stakeholders, providing a central place to explore project activities and exchange knowledge across three European cities. Our solution was a clean and intuitive website focused on making knowledge easy to access and explore. We designed a clear navigation structure that helps users quickly find the information they need, while presenting project activities and research in an accessible way. For this project, we were responsible for both the design and development of the website.
/ Design choices
One of the main challenges of this project was organising a large amount of information and presenting it in a clear and accessible way. We chose a minimalistic design approach to keep the focus on the knowledge and content rather than the interface itself.
To create an intuitive user experience, we structured the website into student work and our archive, enabling visitors to quickly find the information most relevant to them. For the administrators, ease of use was a key requirement. We designed the CMS to be simple and intuitive, allowing users to easily add, update, and organise content within the archive without requiring technical expertise. This ensures that the platform can continue to grow and remain up to date as new research, projects, and resources are added over time.
