Alma Archive curates a selection of art, books, objects, and artist editions, originally shared through Instagram. To better support artists and expand the reach of their work, a website was created to enable the buying and selling of pieces in a structured and accessible online space.
The result is an online curated collection that combines commerce and storytelling, allowing visitors to discover, learn about, and purchase works by emerging and established artists in one cohesive platform.
/ Design choices
For Alma Archive, we built further on her existing Instagram account, where she showcases and promotes other artists’ work. Using her established style, we designed a shopping experience that aligns with her existing branding and visual identity
In addition to the webshop, we added blog posts to highlight the artists behind the work. The focus of this part was to create more context around the pieces, giving visitors insight into the stories, processes, and people behind each work, strengthening the connection between audience and artist. Throughout the design and development, we also focused on creating a clear and structured system, with transparent communication to customers after purchase. This ensured a smooth UX experience for both the customer and the administrator, making the process of buying, selling, and managing artworks intuitive and reliable.
